In May of 2022, my mother and I were able to take the trip of a lifetime together when we traveled to the Netherlands, and found a very special horse named Maxson. The experience was a dream come true for both of us.

Two weeks after arriving home from our trip, my mom was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer. She passed away ten months later.
​
My mom was my best friend, my biggest supporter and my role model. This book was born out of a deep yearning to honor my mom in a way I know she would love, and inspired by how much she meant to me.

Judy and I worked together to dream up images my mom, Jerri, would have loved as an artist herself.
Each illustration was first hand sketched by Judy before being digitally painted in vibrant color.
Although my mom will not be at the sidelines when I reach my goals, I know what she wanted for me. She showed me every day with her love and support.
